Offers prototype testing and production under the supervision of experts from Kasetsart University. Lab users will be able to develop R&D skills for food products and learn to fix product problems by themselves. The laboratory is located at the Institute of Food Research and Product Development, Kasetsart University.

  1. Is a small or medium enterprise or a startup in the food industry or other related industries.
  2. Has a team to continuously involve in on-site research.
  3. Has a clear objective for developing a new product or fixing an existing product.

Service process

  1. An entrepreneur and experts jointly plan the testing to fix product problems.
  2. The IFRPD’s business development department (BD@IFRPD) advises on the laboratory safety rules and regulations.
  3. The entrepreneur completes the project request form and the laboratory request form, signs, and pays at the IFRPD’s finance department.
  4. An expert schedule the service use and submits the list of instruments and ingredients to the IFRPD’s business development department.
  5. The IFRPD’s business development department prepares the facility, instruments, and ingredients.
  6. The entrepreneur uses the facility with an expert providing advice on the instrument and ingredient form and service use schedule form.
  7. The expert notifies the IFRPD’s business development department of the project termination.
  8. The entrepreneur evaluates the service.

    Food Ingredient library & Packaging Library

    The Food Ingredient and Packaging Library offers a virtual food ingredient library and packaging library that collects, groups, and analyses food ingredients available at the industrial and academic research levels as well as displays and presents information, examples, and knowledge regarding the types of currently available materials and containers of domestic and foreign manufacturers. The virtual library is located on the third floor of Building 5, Faculty of Agro-Industry.

    A food ingredient library is also located on the second floor, Plant 2 of the Institute of Food Research and Product Development, which offers a variety of food ingredients for food prototype testing and production together with the Future Food Lab.
